Wabtec is one of the few global experts in impregnation technology. Our unique impregnation process ensures best conductivity of materials. Materials can be impregnated with copper, antimony, bronze and tin phenolic resin to optimize their performances.

Before impregnation, we study physical properties of material such as porosity, specific resistivity, density and mechanical strength to adapt impregnation process and benefit from higher and more homogenous metal gain.

Using a vacuum pressure method, we achieve optimal infiltration of metal content into material porosity.

After impregnation, the homogeneity and consistency of the impregnated material are verified to ensure top performance.
