RK900
AUTOMATIC COUPLERS
The RK 900 shunting coupler, developed in 1939, has a long history in freight operations, with a legacy of more than 80 years of proven service record across European freight operations.
It is used for coupling and uncoupling locomotives and railway cars. It is a draw coupling that is connected to the locomotive's draw hook, supported by the front underframe structure of the traction vehicle, and works together with the side buffers. It is used both for shunting operations and for mainline/service runs. If required, the brake hose connection between the locomotive and the railway car must still be connected manually.
Certified by Deutsche Bahn (DB). Proven in service across Europe with Deutsche Bahn (DB), Österreichische Bundesbahnen (ÖBB) and other private operators.
