Dellner Crash Energy Management (CEM) is designed to absorb and manage impact forces during train collisions, helping protect passengers, train crew and rolling stock.
Protection system for safer travel
CEM components are positioned at the front of the train and between wagons, where they can absorb significant impact energy. The system is designed to help prevent wagon twisting, overriding and lifting, reducing the risk of serious passenger injuries in the event of a collision.
Advanced simulation & engineering
Dellner uses proprietary CEM simulation software to model different crash scenarios and optimize energy absorption. Dellner works closely with vehicle manufacturers to integrate the Train Connection System with the customer's overall Crash Energy Management strategy.
