Wabtec-Nowe sanding systems feature a unique separation of the transport and dosing
functions. This allows the sand ejection pipes to be completely purged at the end of the
sanding cycle and significantly reduces the risk of clogging.
In addition, complete sealing is guaranteed at the dosing stage so that no moisture can
rise up to the sand bins. This has a very positive impact on the reliability of the system
compared to other systems. Heating of the sand box is not required.
Sanding systems can be delivered with multiple options, such as sand boxes, sand level
sensors, sand flow diagnostic system, filling traps, visual levels, Condition based
maintenance. For vehicles without compressed air, a dedicated compressor can be supplied
and integrated in a full sanding module.
